OriginWise Privacy Policy

OriginWise is a local-first web app. We design the product so personal check history stays on your device whenever possible.

Data stored on your device

• Settings (language, theme, geo scope, check dimensions)
• Past check results (text summaries — not full photos)
• Disclaimer acceptance timestamp

You can delete this data anytime in Settings → Delete local data.

Data sent to our servers

When you run a check, the product name/text and optional compressed photo are sent to our Cloudflare Pages Function, which proxies to AI providers (e.g. Google Gemini, OpenAI, xAI, Anthropic) using our server keys. Requests are rate-limited. We do not create user accounts or keep a server-side diary of your history.

Analytics

We may use Google Tag Manager when a container ID is configured for the deployment (build env VITE_GTM_ID). If unset, no GTM script is loaded. Configure GTM/GA in Google’s console for retention and consent as needed.

Cookies

The app itself does not require login cookies. Third-party analytics may set cookies according to their policies.
